What is there to say? Summer is upon us. We are awash in the green, Midwestern heat and the farmer’s markets are in full swing. This dish is simple. Buy vegetables that you like to eat, those in their delectable summerific prime. Wash veggies. Cut veggies. Sauté in canola oil with a dash of sesame oil for flavor. Use a little butter if your diet allows. Add salt and pepper to taste. And grated ginger if you like. Everything tastes sweet and bright: the colors riot, the flavors dazzle, and the veggies do a hoochie-koochie dance in your mouth. You smile. It is summer after all.
